I talk a lot in the Sgt Pepper Code about the obscured figures, I think they are highly significant. This picture is interesting to me because it shows this character who I have never been able to identify. Any ideas? Also, the picture seems to show the bottom half of the Sonny Liston dummy, almost as if the top half has been photoshopped out, but this makes no sense. It is very much so the image of Elvis "The King". Yes I think the image might be photo shopped but, how much is added? On the original cover there is definitely a figure between the wax George and Sonny Liston. In the above photo look just behind the image of Marcello Mastroianni and you can see the the side of the wax Ringo's face. I wonder also about the high lighted area immediately behind the image of Sophia Loren's head. Either it is an obscured Petty Girl or just a high lighted circle to make Sophia's head have a similar appearance. Maybe it was an original intention and then later obscured when the wax beatles were positioned. I can't figure out any thing about the bouquet behind Sophia other than there appears a facial feature facing toward the left.

The actual image from the film. Nothing about this seems unintentional... In the Film the Killing The sharpshooter played by Timothy Carey has to shoot the favorite horse during a horse race. George Harrison has a peculiar clue with the horse reminiscent of Sgt. Peppers. A main character in the film is the betting window teller George Peatty Similar to George "Petty" The Killing is a " Harris"-Kubrick Film

I'm with ya Ter. I wasn't directing the "why isn't this discussed" at you guys; but one of the things about the "search for the mystery" that always bothers me is when something blatant isn't even talked about.
An assassin from a Kubrick film in a shooting pose hiding behind George seems really significant, and yet where in all of these series or other forums is it talked about or highlighted?
That's strange to me, even if we don't automatically understand the context of why there would be a gunman hidden in the cover you would think someone would consider it to be sort of, you know, relevant...
The most important stuff always seems to be the stuff no one is talking about...its disinformation over years and years.

Yeah, I guessed Elvis based on others web comments, but since you mentioned feminine it would make since seeing how Thomas Sargent is surrounded with females. Kind of like the Isaiah passage " Seven women will take hold of one man" ....He is the eighth and is of the seven. On the cover George is the first Beatle on the left and the last Beatle on the right or the eighth. ..hmmm.

Yes, there is definitely something bizarre about why this specific image was chosen, particularly in a collage of 'people we like'. Quite often, when the artist is a film star, particularly from the 50's or 60's the link tends to be through Ted Haworth - Jann Haworth's father - who worked with them, e.g. Monroe and Curtis on Some Like it Hot and Brando on numerous movies. That is not the case here. Carey's character was called Nikki Arcane, maybe there is something there? My guess is that the link is Kubrick, but beyond that I am not sure. It would be interesting if we could work out exactly who Carey's gun is pointing at?

Yeah, I have seen the Elvis references, have also read that is Rory Storm from Ringo's old band. I don't buy either personally. I am sure it is a child?

...so, you have an assassin shooting at a horse hiding behind George in the Sgt. Pepper cover and his record label is this? While "dark horse" is usually a reference to an unlikely or surprise winner, Harrison explained in his autobiography, I Me Mine, that he actually didn't know that meaning of the term, at the time. His lyrics instead referred to a man who carried on one or more clandestine sexual relationships with women; a "dark horse" in Liverpudlian terms.Attachments:

The horse was named Red Lightning for another piece of this. That's strange to me, even if we don't automatically understand the context of why there would be a gunman hidden in the cover you would think someone would consider it to be sort of, you know, relevant... ...and to go along with the Dylan Coke factory thing is this.
He got monkey finger He shoot Coca Cola
Not to mention the Shoot me's in the beginning.
Again, Atlanta is the HQ of Coca-Cola.
The gunman really means something perhaps.
