I think they painted black over the front of the legionnaire. Yes he is holding a glass or a chalice. I also think the lower part of his white shirt is really a Masonic type apron. As far as the wax head, I can't really say. It may be just a hairdresser's waxwork. Then again T. E. Lawrence is missing from the crowd and so is David Livingstone and George shaw. I think the George Shaw is a Wax work too. If so then the green hat maniquine, Lawrence, Shaw, and the red and yellow hat maniquine are all lined across more or less. If George Shaw is a waxwork it adds more mystery to the George Harrison clues. IMO Think you might be right about the apron.

* {A mooncalf or ( Moon-Calf ) is the abortive fetus of a cow or other farm animal. The term was occasionally applied to an abortive human fetus. The term derives from European folk traditions, as malformed creatures were the product of the sinister influence of the Moon on fetal development.
The term "Mooncalf" came to be used to refer to any monstrous or grotesque thing. Shakespeare used the term to describe Caliban, Prospero's deformed servant, in The Tempest.} ____________________________________________________________________________

Who are these guys? I think the Wax head could have been used for the David Livingstone model. Is the partial face in the lower right corner Jesus or Sri Paramahansa Yogananda?

I think you may be right about the wax head and the partial face is, I think, Sri Parmahansa Yoganda. The other guy I am not sure about. I asked this question at NIR and the response I got was that it could be Paul Whiteman, though not sure what the link is, or indeed, if it is him? I love this photo though, not only for the alternate version of Crowley - next to our mystery man - that was rejected because it was believed that it may too closely resemble Paul, but also for the interesting array of models, or dolls, at the end, next to the wax works legs.

Here's another question. I came across this image on this website www.nauert.com/ransgt.htmI am intrigued as to it's authenticity as if you look at George you can see a pig popping out from behind his legs. Anyone know if this is a genuine cover from anywhere in the world?

Needless to say, I have my own idea on the abundant MC's showing up which have absolutely no frame of reference in 1968, but one thing that isn't mentioned which also leads down a possible cipher road is that the line 4,000 holes in Lancashire in the actual article from 1967 is followed by the curious fact that this factors out to 1/26th of a hole per person...

I have been looking over the Sgt. Peppers cover and thinking about the "key" and "flowers in the dirt" that Apollo was mentioning. I was noticing the letters spelling BEATLES and was wondering if a word or a name is being suggested.
With a bit of imagination seeing how the T can be an I using the Hindu statue blended in, and then the trophy being another I, spelling BEAILIES.
I'm currently limited with my Internet access, so the only thing I could find was either real names which could be Scottish. Beailies or misspellings throughout the web.
Also, the word Beailies might be pronounced as "Baileys" Or a play on words sounding as "Billies" or "Billys".
Other ways to think on it are; using the trophy coupled with the L to represent a U spelling BEAIUES, or using all the letters to form anagrams or ciphers, even with the odd shaped flowers on each side like: s BEATLES o. Or with any of the other variations. In other pictures with wider angles it appears as: is BEATLES o. Any thoughts?

I am pretty sure Apollo saw the flowers, particularly the hyacinths, as a reference to the story of Apollo and Hyacinthus.
I have always taken this to allude to a possible relationship between Paul and Tara Browne.
Looking at the Sgt Pepper cover again, I am wondering if maybe the yellow flowers - the bass that supposedly spelt out Paul - shouldn't be seen as a representation of a key, particularly as it is below the letters L E S or the key perhaps.
Still not sure what they key is though or what it is for?

Very interesting video. Yes I've looked into the hyacinths and I have also considered the shape of the yellow flowers as being a possible Key. I have wondered about the LES or LIES I still think the letter T is meant to be viewed as an I artistically. Which in turn represent the number 9.

I noticed, while looking at a thumbnail photo of SGT. Peppers , that the horn John is holding looks like an S. So, maybe, there is a word hidden on the cover..

About the Rolling Stones Sweater and Shirley Temple. Think about it, in trying to find meaning in all this mystery, it always goes back further and further in time. Of course we can just go back to the time in which The Beatles produced Sgt. Peppers or to 1966, but what if the clues and hints are always pointing back further. The main mystery is trying to find out the origins of the human existence and why knowledge was and is kept from us, hidden and manipulated, then slowly throughout time being revealed. The mystery is within every aspect of existence. Sorting through the ever increasing explanations is difficult. Once you start searching the trail of clues you begin to find mystery in everything. Sheeesh... Memphis Egypt en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis,_Egypt The suggestive placement and connections involving the sweater and Memphis, I think are a reference to Memphis Egypt. Egypt is of the East, Memphis is in lower Egypt and there are many palm trees. There's the numerous connections on the cover with India and the Hindu, there's Lawrence of Arabia, there's Shirley (Temple), Rolling (Stones) and the Gnomes or (nomes). Nome (Gnome) of Egypt Is the Egyptian equivalent of districts en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nome_(Egypt)

Hunter Davies--There's a nice letter to his cousin Leila — she was slightly older and became a doctor — and if you look at the top of the page you'll see in green handwriting, he's drawn some palm trees. If you put your best specs on, you'll see his little face peeping up from behind a palm tree with his little nose and his spectacles. Then you'll also see in the corner a very small pyramid. And this was a visual joke, because Leila, his cousin, was born in Egypt, and he and Yoko were going to Egypt soon."
