If you look carefully on the Sgt. Peppers album cover, take notice of the head, looking upward at Poe, in the very center of the crowd. It is of Dr. David Livingstone I presume....
Dr. David Livingstone was a Scottish Congregationalist pioneer medical missionary with the London Missionary Society and an explorer in Africa.
Although, upon further examination, it appears to be a wax head instead of a cut-out photo.
I've search the Internet for a photo comparison with Livingstone and the presumed Livingstone on the album and none even match.
Anyway, I was wandering why the wax head in the center of the album?
If it is a wax head then there are nine wax figures on the cover.
Left to right
1. Wax model of Sonny Liston
2. Wax model bust with green hat
3. Wax model of George Harrison
4. Wax model of John Lennon
5. Wax model of Ringo Starr
6. Wax model of Paul McCartney
7. Wax head of Dr. David Livingstone
8. Wax model of Diana Dors
9. Wax model bust with yellow and red stripped hat
Something else I found while looking at photos of the album's photo session.
On the album cover if you look at the wax Beatles, George and John, you can
see a white color behind them between their necks. It is an obscured photo of an Italian
actress Sophia Loren.
Look at the wax Beatles Ringo and Paul. Just above Their head, and below Marlon Brando's chin, you can see a curved black feature. It is the top of a hat. The hat is of an obscured photo of an Italian actor Marcello Mastroianni.
The images of Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni are from Vittorio De Sica's 1965 movie 'Marriage Italian-Style'

Interesting, I will check the Livingstone lead out. Don't have the cover to hand at the minute but I think the T E Lawrence model is a wax work too.
In the book I speak a lot about the Sophia Loren character and the other hidden players. If you want a pdf copy just send me a message with your email address and I will send you it.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
