Synchronicity is a term coined by psychologist Carl Jung. While treating a woman who regularly had disturbing dreams involving a golden scarab beetle, he heard a scratching at his window. It was a scarabaeid beetle, a species not indigenous to his geographical area. The woman, formerly resistant to psychotherapy, went on to make progress in her treatment, taking the appearance of the beetle at the window as a sign. Later, Jung developed the theory of synchronicity – the idea that some events are, when viewed as mere coincidence, statistically improbable. Synchronicity also provides a strong link between consciousness and the physical world.

“For the past 14 years John has lived with the fear that he would be shot,” writes John Lennon’s first wife Cynthia in her book “John,” that adds: “In 1966 he’d received a letter from a psychic, warning that he would be shot while he was in the States.”

The Dakota was commissioned in 1881 by Edward Clark, head of the Singer Sewing Machine Company. The movie Help! ends with a dedication to "Elias Howe, who, in 1846, invented the sewing machine". Also, The Dakota was named a Historic Landmark on December 8th 1976

Damn good stuff! That Singer thing slays me.
Also on December 8th, 1976, The Eagles release their album Hotel California. The title track, when played backwards, seems to most to say, "John Lennon by himself." This happens at the 2:37 mark when counting from the end. Forwards, the line is, "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door." Which describes Lennon's last moments

More stuff on Jung: The dream which he describes as the most important of his life, in which he is assured that he is on the right track in his work, is set in Liverpool. Interesting that his visions in 1913, which led to him writing The Red Book, were a premonition of WWI. Could he have been also forseeing the Beatles? The Beatles are often credited for bringing the East to the West, however, Jung extensively studied everything from the East he could get his hands on, which worked it’s way into his theories and practices. The first person with whom Jung engaged in dialogues concerning his theory on synchronicity was Wolfgang Pauli. Interesting that The Beatles were playing in the St. Pauli district in Hamburg, as Jung died in 1961 (in Switzerland). (6/6/61 to be exact). Carl Jung's father was named Paul.

You know I've got this supernatural theory on all of this, but regardless of what you believe Jung and The Beatles seem inexorably linked somehow...great stuff!

Forwards, the line is, "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door." Which describes Lennon's last moments I ran across the Clark thing somewhere and I couldn't remember how it fit but knew somehow it did, then suddenly remembered Help! and when I saw the pic above it kind of freaked me out with the red water and the sewing machine seeming like a weapon...eerie. John Lennon is actually in Hotel California 3 times (not sure if I discovered it but I know I'd never heard of it when I found it) but when I laid Revolution #9 on top of it and heard the syncs at various points, especially John's wounded sound syncing with "last thing I remember I was running for the door", I couldn't sleep for a week. It just seemed like pure evil...

As we all now know, Jim Morrison's father George was the Admiral in charge of the fleet when the Gulf of Tonkin incident occurred in August of '64, paving the way for the Vietnam War. Admiral Morrison was stationed on the Bon Homme Richard. That ship was then decommissioned and George Morrison gave the keynote at the decommissioning ceremony on July 3rd 1971, which was also the day that Jim died. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Stephen_Morrison

Life has pulled me in a very different direction than writing for awhile now, I'm slowly getting myself back onto the case as it were. I had kind of assumed that I have been working on something rather unique; Joe Niezgoda's The Lennon Prophecy had sort of a parallel with my own work by claiming that he had experiences that led him to the belief that John Lennon had made a deal with the devil and Joe had received "clues" unique to him in coming to that conclusion. This is very similar to my own experiences that I regarded as not of my own hand and have been pretty clear on where I think the inspiration has come from and how a system may be at work. Now another obscure book has come across my radar that has pretty much this exact same theme yet again. Once A Man, Twice A Child from Dan Alice is downright eerie in its parallels to what I've been working on, so much so that it has kind of freaked me out to be honest. He goes way out there in an apparent belief that his name (Alice) is an allusion to Alice in Wonderland and that "The Eggman" refers to the precognition Alice had to Humpty's fate, all of course part of a song that came out 13 years to the day before John Lennon's death. He has some other garden variety synchronicities mixed in but most of the book deals with his relationship with God and its relation to Nuclear War, John Lennon, and almost being killed by a White VW Beetle as a child. The character in the book, certainly based on the author, kind of positions himself as the White Knight bringing this out to the world on God's side while cryptically hinting that there is also a dark side of this equation which is yet to come. 922 would most certainly be the dark side of this same theme, much darker than what I've let on here. Like I said, kind of freaked me out when I read it. As surprised as I am by this book, I guess I really shouldn't be surprised that a number of people have felt so strongly about some spiritual element to John Lennon's death that they've felt compelled to write books about it. John once famously told that guy in his garden who had the same general idea that it was the LSD talking. It certainly didn't hurt, but I don't think that's that's all there is to this...

RIP to Manson Prosecutor Vince Bugliosi. It's interesting that he happened to pass away on the date of death of Robert F. Kennedy; although Bugliosi devoted substantial time to the JFK assassination, it was in fact the RFK assassination that he regarded as suspicious.
